CS-165 Current Stage module

With the CS-165 Current Stage "engine" our setup differs from most of the other amplifier manufacturers. We flat mount a double pair at the backside of the PCB, resulting in a better heat transfer and about total absence of microphonic effects.
Our CS-165 Current Stage module

Basically, the setup is similar as a CS-80 or CS-120 module, also with all transistors
at the backside, but there are some significant improvements:

  • Flat mounted to an even larger heatsink resulting in a highpower capability
  • Also free from microphonic effects due to mounting with 14 screws to the solid heatsink
  • A double pair of power Mosfets, instead of a single pair, resulting in
  • more power reserve and a better dynamic control of the speakers
  • Even more power supply capacitors very close to the power transistors
  • Pairs of measuring shunt resistors, causing less/no side effects.
  • 120um thick copper tracks (CS-80 is 35um, CS-120 is 70um)
  • Extremely compact and clean "wireless" connection with several other (possible) modules

As with all our Amplifier modules, the rated power is defined by the Power Supply transformer output voltages only:
The +CD lines represent the values when a CD-165 add-on module pair is attached as well.

This module fits on 200x165mm heatsinks or in f.e. a MODU 300 x 210mm (DxH) Dissipante cabinet.
If CD-165 modules are attached, the pack fits on a 300x165mm heatsink or in a 400x210mm cabinet.

This high class amplifier module could deliver around 300Wrms to most complicated speakers.
